Mixed Media Shadow Box Workshop - Thursday, January 22nd | 7 pm

Join us for a relaxed, creativity-filled workshop where you’ll design a beautifully layered mixed media shadow box using your choice of shapes and themes. What began as our classic butterfly project has grown into a collection of options - botanical silhouettes, seasonal motifs, whimsical creatures, and more - so you can create a piece that truly feels like you.

We’ll start with a simple demonstration to show you how to build depth and texture using just two key materials: crushed colored glass for sparkle and dimension, and dried botanicals for organic detail. Once you understand the basics, you’ll have plenty of time to create at your own pace and explore the combination of color, shape, and natural texture in whatever way inspires you.

All materials are provided, and the studio atmosphere is cozy, unhurried, and welcoming. You can settle in, sip from the coffee bar, experiment freely, and enjoy the process of crafting something personal and beautifully one of a kind.

Each participant will complete a 5x7 framed piece ready to hang or gift. 

No experience necessary. Adults 18+ unless otherwise noted.

Snacks & Sips                                                                                                                         Feel free to bring your favorite snacks and drinks to enjoy while you create. The Studio is BYOB for guests 21+.

Parking                                                                                                                                      On street meter parking is available on Elizabeth Ave. Free on street parking is available on Chelsea Ave. Free lot parking is located behind the building.

Locating the Studio                                                                                                               We suggest entering the building from Ruch St. entrance (the back of the building). Use the elevator directly inside the building to the right. This is the only elevator that will take you to the 4th floor. If you enter the building from Elizabeth Ave, and take the elevator in the hallway, please note that the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor.
